I'm wondering if anyone else has this happen. Usually about halfway through a script I start having dreams about my characters, like they are real people. We chit chat, sometimes I just see them, I've even had a character tell me he didn't like one of the other characters! Well, he wasn't supposed to..
So please tell me someone else experiences stuff like this or I may be slipping the surly bonds of reality... chip

I do it all the time when I'm working on a book. Actually, the book I just finished and that's currently making the rounds was completely dreamed up--plot, characters and even the title (which I changed) years ago.

I dreamt an entire action sequence using some over-the-top wild stuff that has never been seen on film yet, which I am currently working on -- so if it goes anywhere I can thank my ID as a co-writer

There has to be a good story in there somewhere....Okay, well I'm relieved to know that either I'm not kookoo, or that I'm not the only one that is!

Wow, you guys and girl (Anita) are always working. This is a very interesting thread.
Hemingway once said he refilled his well of ideas everynight, but you all take that to another level. That's so cool! I wish I could say I do the same, but either I don't or I can't remember them. |

Weird question, Tom72...
Did you used to post as TomDe72 (or something like that)?

I've always wished I could dream stuff up to help my stories but I hardly ever do, honestly I don't think I have.

I had this dream where Chip C and me were in a Nazi death camp and he was showing me this painting... kept saying 'dude, your gonna get us killed' ... and I was trying to explain how I'm not jewish, but a freemason... didn't help.
Then, Victor Hugo appears and told me how James joyce isn't gay, but liked afghanis - didn't like chip's painting either. strange days indeed |
