I once had a dream that I missed an episode of THE HILLS.

I was very upset. Ridiculously so. It was like my entire world had collapsed.

The worst part was how relieved I was when I woke up. I mean, come on.

Looking back, I think that dream was the beginning of the end of my sanity.

I once had a dream that my daughter got straight A's on her report card.

When I woke up I snuck up on it hoping it wasn't a dream.

When I unfolded it and saw her grades I whooped her a$$ again.

So it all worked out.

I loved Lanesha Young. In spite of her feel good story. I loved her song, and went back to listen to it a number of times. Mainly because I'm a sad, sad person.

That said, I thought it was an interesting look at subtext when the Mudd guy told the judges to, "Be careful."

Here's a guy who's been in five accidents (all cars?) -- two were near-fatal accidents. So, to him, saying "Be careful" is totally within his character. And a non-threatening salutation.

Then there's Paula, who's had a mentally disturbed person commit suicide outside her home. I don't know about you all, but that would definitely creep me out. So, Paula, being a bit on edge about contestants, hears, "Be careful" and gets freaked out. Granted, I think she overreacted. But, I get where she was coming from.

So, the two words, "Be careful" end up having two entirely different meanings to the two people engaged in the conversation. And I totally get why Mudd was so confused at Paula's (over?) reaction.

In all, I'm enjoying this season. But, so far, Lanesha's my favorite. Hope she makes it past the Green Mile.

Poor Mudd. They hung that guy out to dry, throwing in the Deliverance music during his interview. Making him out to be a psycho. Of course, I think we know at least 4 of his 5 accidents had to do with Mr. Mudd drinking a pint of whisky before he got behind the wheel. So, you know, he's not completely innocent in all this. But they were d*cks to him. The guy seemed nice.

That gal who had a record deal... she has 'something' about her. I'd put her on TV even if it had nothing to do with singing, she's just got 'something special' about her, everyone else, forgettable.

I don't think the Mudd guy meant anything either.

I was more afraid that they were gonna show a segment about his parents.

BUT, I was watching TMZ today and they said the the producers totally setup Mudd. Apparently, there's another panel of judges you see before Paula, Simon and Randy. They told him he could sing and that he was great and then sent him in for that. Kinda tacky if you ask me, unlike Corona's comments about his parents, that was funny.

Joanna is her name. And I agree wholeheartedly. She is easily my favorite (so far).

I can't even remember anyone I really dug. But for some reason I'm thinking one of those sixteen year old girls had a sweet voice.
