It's all about the packaging for that company.... Avi Lerner finds all the funding and makes all the deals (He's the one who doesn't read scripts
 , but I salute the guy -- He is a very wise businessman) The way it works -- they find a somewhat commercial script -- they pitch it to a known International actor-- (that actor HAS to be a known International star -- which is very different to what we think of a star in the US... Certain people sell like crazy overseas and here can not open a movie. ) So, they pitch the movie with the attached star and a Movie Poster -- Get advanced money from all the different territories, they start shooting, once the movie is done they get a distribution deal here... Then it's all about how much it makes overseas, not here -- sometimes they put the movie out in the US for a week just so people are aware and when it comes time for the DVD they'll remember and that's where they make their money... They make a lot of movies, so if you have a good connection I would hit them up... |
