Our host was able to restore the database for the forums. They were even able to do so up until the 27th, rather than the 22nd of March, which is what it originally looked like that's all that they could do.
It appears like we lost posts from late evening (Pacific time) on the 27th through basically this morning/the 29th. This includes any new registrations, etc during that time frame. It's essentially like a time machine in terms of the restore. There is still an issue with registration e-mails and e-mails being sent out by the forums in general for such things as lost passwords and so on. We're working on that next. Hopefully though all is working in general for the forums but let us know if you notice any issues. Thanks. |

Congrats!
Unfortunately, I did notice that about 7 AM this morning God popped through and posted the secret to the meaning of life. So it goes. |

When I visited on Sunday when the forums were down, I saw that I had 2 new private messages, but I was unable to read them. But when I just came here now, says I have 0 Unread. Did PMs disappear as well?

Glad to see the forums are back...
All PMs sent since the 27th were lost too...including a brand new one I got this morning that I never had a chance to read. Ack.

And the database file that stores everything for the forums had its table corrupted. Because our database is fairly large it's sensitive to just about anything. Still trying to figure all out but just hoping it'll hold as is indefinitely. We might need to look at moving the forums to another server, etc. at some point. |

Glad there was so little disruption and data loss and you were able to restore such a recent backup, I've seen much, much worse happen on other boards!
