Default some embarressing questions....

Need some help here......

1, Since I don't live in the States I was wondering if anybody can help me with this one. What's the procedure when you go to the doctor, do you fill out any forms etc.? Anything would help!!

2, If you would want to do the movie yourself, how would you go about it? Even distrubution, directing, producing etc. Any books on the subject?

3, Since I don't live in the US, do you need any special permit to make your own movie in the US?

Any information would help me a lot!!

My e-mail is s_i_s_s_i79@yahoo.com if you what to send it to me instead!

Thanks again!!

1. Yes, you do need to fill out forms. The first time you visit a doctor, he/she needs all your current health insurance information. If you happen to switch jobs, your health insurance will change as well (most people are covered through their jobs), and the next time you visit your doctor you would need to update that information. Usually a couple pages of crap. They'd make a photocopy of your health insurance info and usually your driver's license.

2. Check on amazon.com or your local bookstore. I think there's one called "Making Movies at Used Car Prices" or something like that...

3. If you are filming in certain locations, for instance in a large city, you would need to acquire a permit. I don't know if it's necessary for smaller towns. Of course, if you're filming indoors on your own property you can do whatever you want without a permit.

Sissi,

Another good book to learn about the process of filmmaking is "Digital Filmmaking 101" by Dale Newton and John Gaspard. It has useful sections on scripting, budgets, and production.

I'm sure that Sweden has a film commission. You might want to check with the commission to see what sort of programs or classes they offer.
