Default IMDB Hates Screenwriters

IMDB has just *dumped* screenwriters from the main page for every movie. Director is listed, cast is listed... not screenwriter! Though the WGA should begin an anti-IMDB/Amazon campaign, while we are waiting for that to happen, why not write them? And spread this to any writer friends you have. If they get thousands of letters, they may read one of them.

Go check it out for yourself.

Hi Bill,

Found out they just changed it back because it stirred such an outrage!

Cool.

Cool.

Yeah, this was a BIG problem for IMDB yesterday. Yet another in a long string of decisions that caused more problems than it solved.

Yeah, IMDB got a LOT of complaints about that one yesterday. Yet another in a long string of decisions that created more problems than it fixed.

Bill,

Good job creating buzz about this. Saw it posted
on several screenwriter boards.

The general public thinks actors 'make it up as they
go along. Or so said William Holden.

Thumbs up Re: IMDB Hates Screenwriters

I guess they figure writers are not a vital part of the film process. After all, very rarely does the writer's actual script appear on the screen lol.
