  • Fox incubator project?

    So how does one apply?

20th Century Fox Opens Talent IncubatorMonday, Apr 25, 2011Source: Variety Variety reports, Twentieth Century Fox has created an in-house development program, hiring former Chernin Entertainment VP Nicholas Weinstock to head the initiative.

Weinstock and Steve Tzirlin will run the program, which will focus on the development of new ideas from emerging writers. The two groups/division will concentrate on comedy (Weinstock) and action/adventure (Tzirlin) projects. The duo will hire five writers in each division to start the program.
Fox's Emma Watts said, "The goal for this enterprise is to create a place where original ideas are generated and where new writers can feel supported to do their best work."
"People who work in Hollywood are the ones who didn't quit." -- Lawrence Kasdan

This is pretty much one of those situations wherein if you have to ask, you can't apply. They make an announcement like this to promote themselves and look cool. It's not because they want people applying in droves like with Project Greenlight, for example. Most likely they already had some names in mind (writers with heat on them), talked with agents and managers around town, had some meetings, etc. to decide.
