It was pretty good--the twist about Sookie came out of left field, though. I shall say no more lest I'm accused of being spoilerish.

I still missed my GOT...sigh....

I missed it, too, but True Blood definitely softened the blow. It was great fun last night!

So they're hitting up the lesbian stories already? Ally McBeal syndrome strikes again!

+2. although, i knew she would be different this season when they ended last season with the symbolic hair-cutting scene. i'm just glad the character has evolved. there were times last season that i wanted to reach through the television and bitch-slap her whiny ass.

The second episode is already OnDemand for some reason. I sort of hate that they do that as I like to target shows to look forward to watching when it airs, but I watched it anyway. Guess that makes me a hypocrit.

Anyway, I won't give spoilers, but I think the second episode - like the first - is a step back in the right direction. The sense of intrigue and mystery that this show started off with in Season 1 had completely disappeared in the last couple of seasons. By skipping ahead a year, they are able to introduce that aspect back into the show as we piece together some of the holes.

Overall I think the season is off to a great start. However some of that Sookie fairy stuff was either intentionally or unintentionally beyond cheesy/campy/jokey.

This season is okay....after being on the edge of my seat from Game of Thrones every episode though I feel this is a bit underwhelming....

And why is Sam's little brother living with Hoyt's mama?
