Default Midnight in Paris

Is this not out wide yet? No thread?
This was so fun! I loved this movie!
I had forgotten how good Woody Allen is with weird circumstances in comedy. This was a lot like Purple Rose of Cairo, but more of a Somewhere in Time/A Moveable Feast. Hemingway was a wonderful character with PERFECT Hemingway-esque dialogue. Go see it if you haven't! It's totally fun. And Owen Wilson was great.

Best Summer movie of the year. The reason there's no thread is because people like sh!tty movies.

I could have sworn I started a thread about this. Maybe I just commented somewhere on here.

I really enjoyed this movie, too. It was very fun.

I didn't pay attention to the press for a long time...I thought it was a sequel to the Hilton porn video.

worth mentioning.

i had planned on making it a movie day and went to see Midnight In Paris and especially after it was mentioned on here but when I got to the line I was thinking Monte Carlo. sooooo...... i sat through some g-rated trailers with some teenage girls until the movie started and didn't see Owen Wilson's name. i ended up in Horrible Bosses- which wasn't that bad.

i love Woody Allen's old stuff- bannanas, take the money and run, sleeper, but don't care for his new stuff. I was gonna give this one a chance.

i'll catch it next time since I didn't do my usual 2.5 movies.

It's playing here. I'm going to see it when I get paid next.

Huge Woody Allen guy.

I'm not much of a Woody Allen fan (although I really enjoyed his pre-Annie Hall stuff) but I enjoyed it. There's absolutely no heavy lifting going on and the story is slight (not to mention going with Owen Wilson as a writer...although the movie never really establishes that he's a good writer) but it's just an easygoing hour-and-a-half. And it was fun imaging all the characters speaking with Woody Allen's voice.

Nice date movie.

Now I just gotta find a date. Not to worry, though. I've got plenty of 1-900 numbers. They're all in my little black book.
