"I know that those who have read my Conan shooting script agree that much of the work I did on story and character never made it to screen."

If true, he's got nothing to be ashamed of. This happens all the time. Movies get butchered for many reasons: ego, money, politics, human error, etc..

Funny, because I read that part and thought he was shifting the blame.

At the end of the day, given the amount of things that CAN go wrong, is anyone surprised by the amount of crap flicks out there?

I still intend on watching this (just not in 3D), and will judge it then. To me, since I don't have to count returns, I only judge a film by its end produce, and not its take. It's kind of difficult to think about flops with that mentality.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I thought he was being humble. He explained the process of the business, and even though it hurt he was gonna get back up and do better, just like his father did. What was wrong with what he said?

tl;dr?

And if this dude thinks political campaigns makes for great reading, I'm sure his character development was rightfully scrapped for ACTION! ROAR!

There are two discussions on this exact topic so I'll just lock this thread up and ask that everyone simply post there instead, since it has more posts at this point: http://messageboard.donedealpro.com/...ad.php?t=63907

Thanks.
