A Beautiful Mind
Identity The Machinist ...are the first that come to mind. To a lesser extent and/or in different ways... Fight Club Memento What else comes to mind and how do you think such related mental illness where there is confusion of time/place/personality has been portrayed?

While vastly different in tone and genre, the following all had some form of "confusion of time/place/personality ":
Thriller: Sybil (split personality disorder) Comedies: Fifty First Dates Finding Nemo (Dory)

"The Three Faces of Eve" (Joanne Woodward won an Oscar for the title role; later she played Sally Field's doctor in "Sybil")
"The Snake Pit"

Spider was probably the most realistic portrayal of mental illness I've seen in a movie. And, of course, it made about ten dollars at the box office.

I watched The Shining last night. Has to be one of the most overrated movies of all-time.
