Need recommendation for Entertainment Atty.

Long story short:

Guys write script. Script does well in contest. Interest follows.

During subsequent query process, guys manage to open friendly dialogue with prominent big-3 agent. Agent represents actor who would be perfect for role of protagonist. Agent tells guys that if they can submit through attorney, he'll consider it for his client.

Shortly thereafter, agent leaves agency to take high-level development job at growing prodco with some very respectable credits. Follow-up communication from guys indicates that former agent would still be willing to consider spec with eye toward production in his new capacity, provided lawyer still serves as intermediary.

One of guys posts thread on message board asking for entertainment attorney recommendations from community.

Preferred qualifications: Friendly, good communication, reputable, and reasonable rates. Guys are certainly willing to drop a bit of cheddar if need be, but do not have limitless resources.

On front page of DD site there is a section for "Lawyers". Might be a place to start if no one is willing to bother their own reps by referring writers/script they know nothing about.

Membership is required to get in the "Lawyers" section. But what a small investment for something with such potential.

If it's not worth price of membership, then it's probably not worth other writers jeopardizing their relationship with their own reps/lawyers.
