I think those stats are right (you may have gotten them from me in my prior "contest ranking" thread). I don't believe it's entirely subjective, but it's true that, whatever the percentages are, you can't be sure of anything. I have a couple of scripts that did well at Nicholl and PAGE but failed to advance in ostensibly less competitive contests like CWA and StoryPros. In the end, it always comes down to the readers.

No, I got that from their website but I did see your post on stats (very helpful). You would think a script that did well at Nicholl and PAGE would certainly have done well in the smaller contests... I'm beginning to think each contest has a certain type of script it likes - that the readers in each contest lean toward one kind vs. another.

Between my feature and my pilot, I'm entered in more than a dozen contests.. I'm definitely going to keep a score card and compare, and also see which contest got me the most read requests (assuming I get any).

Just waiting on those QF announcements! Tick, tock...

Late to the party, but yes...My partner and I are in with the same spec that placed 2nd in the "Action" category at Fresh Voices. So...I, too am at the results page hammering the F5 key like a crack chimp.

lol - Good thing I did not write an action script. I'm cleaning carpets with my new Bissell Quick Steamer (works great!). Figured mindless activity was better than clicking refresh every two seconds.... I only check the results page every 15 minutes....

I sent them a PM on facebook about an hour ago and got no reply.... are they even there today? Maybe they left for vacation and forgot what day it was?

Well, guess we have to wait midnight their time till we really start bitching about it...

The optimist in me wants to believe that they're busily tabulating scores in order to make a west cost midnight posting deadline. At least, I HOPE that's what's happening. Because if they totted up the hashmarks this morning, and logged the scores...but then just up and decided to take the rest of the day off...?

No doubt it's a long list (with both our names on it!) and they want to check the spelling and the scores.. still, you'd think they'd want to be done with it by now since it's a holiday weekend.
