Gee, it's about damn time.

Hope off that one-trick-pony whose carcass you've been beating for 10 years straight and evolve as an actor, already.

Yeah I agree. It does look a tad over the top. But that's Baz's style though. It feels more visuals and personality than story and depth.

Sorry, but that's like saying Steve Buscemi is.

I love the novel. But isn't Gatsby supposed to be dark, perhaps swarthy, the guy from the wrong side of the tracks who worked so hard to cross those tracks yet never fit in? Although I am a DiCaprio fan, he, like Redford, is naturally "polished" so to speak. Gatsby was a guy who to work at being polished yet never quite met the bar. Either way, I'll go see it.

It'll be interesting which Leo role moviegoers will accept: the tortured playboy or the Southern slave-master? I personally choose the second one.

I thought Leo was incredible in The Departed and Shutter Island.

I've seen Clooney and Pitt play the same characters for years and years. Even though Pacino coasts through a lot of roles recently, he'll still step into a challenging, complex character every once in a while and bring them to life.

Heath Ledger was well on his way of being the best actor in Hollywood. I never saw him play (himself) the same character twice.

He's certainly not a bad actor, but he has become decidedly one-dimensional. Same guy in every movie. He's the opposite of Daniel Day-Lewis.

I just want to stand up for Brad Pitt. He was easily the best part of the otherwise crappy Burn After Reading, completely convincing and hilarious as a doofus.

George Clooney was not the same in O Brother and Syriana, so he has some range, but he's not as good as Pitt.

Watch Brad in "Inglorious Basterds", "Snatch" and "12 Monkeys". He's a character actor in an A-lister's body.

Also, I like "Reading" and Clooney's pretty good. I liked him since his "Facts of Life" and "Roseanne" days. "O Brother", "Good Night & Good Luck", "Michael Clayton", "The American", and "The Ides of March" are my favorites featuring him.
