Title: AdopTed
Log Line: A couple desperately tries to adopt a baby but accidentally adopt a full-grown man. Writer: Adam Sztykiel Agent: Julien Thuan of UTA, manager Aaron Kaplan of Kaplan-Perrone Buyer: Working Title Price: n/a Genre: Comedy Logged: 3/18/05 More: Pitch. Kaplan-Perrone’s Aaron Kaplan & Sean Perrone will produce. Didn't this exact same premise sell a year or so ago? I'm sure it did. The only thing I don't remember is whether the folks involved are the same, and I'm too lazy to go browse the sales archives. |

Sounds a lot like that movie starring the Wayans Brothers that came out earlier this year: "Little Man."

Teens make a lot of money? I never did back then.
I know I saw this as a Mad TV sketch years ago (or maybe SNL) -- the basic premise of a couple adopting a grown man, at least.

It was also the plot of an old B&W WWII era movie.
In that version, a childless couple adopt a 'war orphan' ... but then discover that their little girl is an orphan of the PREVIOUS war. In that version, the orphan was a fiery red-headed woman. (Yes, she was definately a red-head despite the movie being in B&W.) From memory, the entire movie was basically just a vehicle for her comedy. Mac |

I don't know how much it has to do with Little Man, but Little Man has a lot to do with the Baby Finster Bugs Bunny short.
