I imagine there are a lot of terrorism scripts being worked on... ive got one thats a more-"traditional" war movie, like a "mission" movie. Anybody got any ideas, insights, observations, or mindless rants? War movies, like war movies. You know?

I like a good war film but a lot have sucked, look at "Behind Enemy Lines" -- your script idea sounds similiar. I'd try to avoid that at all costs.
On another note, I can't wait to see Tarantino's next film which is suppose to be a war film called "Inglorious Bastards." |

INGLORIOUS BASTARDS is based on a film with the same title. It's a "mission" movie in the style of THE DIRTY DOZEN.

I heard it just lifted the title and isn't actually a remake.

There's some kind of 9/11 - war on terrorism movie on NBC this Sunday. Saw an ad for it earlier tonight. If yours is set in Iraq, I think it'd still be a tough sell right now, especially given the increased level of violence in Fallujah.

There was that WWII epidemic but that's pretty much dead now.
A film about the American Revolution, if done properly, would be something I'd be interested in seeing. |

As I understand it, INGLORIOUS BASTARDS is not to be a remake of the Enzo Castallari flick, but is "inspired" by it. Does anyone here remember HELL BENT AND BACK, a spec that sold for big money years back and was said to be an adventure in the DIRTY DOZEN mold? Anyone read it?
