  • Goals and this happens.. that happens..

    I have the beginning and end of my story fixed in concrete. Everything in between seems to flow towards the goal and there are plenty of bumps in the road but I have to wonder if action/reaction is enough. If one struggle after another with a respite in between is enough. It's definitely a rollercoaster but I don't want my character to suffer just for the sake of suffering. I want him to NEED to suffer/fail to get to point B. Just having a hard time figuring out how to set that up. I feel like the A leads to B leads to C ideal is a little boring without a strong need for it to happen that way. The puzzle is becoming more of a challenge than I had anticipated.

    Does this make sense to anyone? I have a cold and took some meds so am feeling a little out of it. This might not even be coherent. Thanks.
