  • Simple system for creating loglines/synopsis/fleshing out ideas...

So my wife was teaching this element in her second grade school with regards to story structure, and I thought it was worth mentioning here for it's just plain simplicity and merit in debate.

It goes along the simple lines of:

    SOMEBODY - WANTED - BUT - SO

"Somebody" obviously being your PROTAG, then "wanted" being your DESIRE or GOAL, "but" is obviously either a incidting incident or ANTAG, and then "so" is the second act/ticking clock/resolving the problem.

Easy, and pretty workable system IMO.

My wife said that by using this simple system, one of her kids already landed a rep at Gersh and is going wide next Monday.
