  • Introducing a character who is an imposter of the real character

how do you introduce a character who is actually an imposter for the real character?

for example. Mark Smith is a character who has been kidnapped and an Imposter is posing as him. The imposter comes into the scene and the audience is lead to believe that he is actually Mark Smith (until about 10 pages later when the true identity is revealed). Do I just go along and use Mark Smith for the imposter and then at the reveal, change the imposter to something like Fake Mark Smith?

    thanks

I did a script like this - and used the first name for the imposted (MARK) and later used the last name for the real guy (SMITH).

Changeling did this with using quotations marks like Charlie -real person and "Charlie" -imposter.
