being a "newbee" writer, I had no knowledge of "linear/non linear" method of writing.
I knew the story that I wanted to tell. I knew the ending, before I even figured out act one, two or three.
once I knew where I was going, I had to get there, by creating a beginning that would make a reader want to go to act two.
now that acts one and four are complete, I have to keep the audience in their seats.
I guess non linear would define my jumping back and forth between acts two and three - whenever I get another idea that might make either act better.
I suspect writing fiction is much easier.
