  • "Suspension of Disbelief"

I believe that is the correct term. Think about it.

ok. lil... i thought about it

now, tell me why you told me to think about it

of course you are right - trouble with many of the movies i see it seems that a suspension of belief is actually what is necessary

again, of course, that bodes well for you and me
good call tho' - i meant to point that out in my post on that thread and forgot to do so

Well, Steeves, I know you're just giving me a hard time but --

The audience is not being asked to suspend their belief, they are being asked to suspend their disbelief.

You're right, Lil. <grin> I chose my phrase wrong. We *are* being asked to suspend disbelief... M.o.H.: Magic o' Hollywood... Gotta love it!

        Cheers!

My wife once wondered if someone was "dropping a trial bomb".

(I wondered if it was being dropped from a balloon.)

            lil' my friend

of course i was joshing you...

but i also wrote that you were right... i was only humourously alluding to the fact that so many movies are so bad that maybe the mistake works as correct

              Re: lil' my friend

See, what happened, was I answered your post before you made the addition, making my response a little nonsensical. I did think your application of "suspend belief" was funny.

                Re: lil' my friend

sorry 'bout that - i often wish the editing feature was not available

anyway, i believe that your disbelief is believable - but believe me, i do not wear suspenders

                  Steeves

William Clinton-the only president whose full name contains the word "Monica".

And Monica's dress is the only one that contained a president named William Clinton.

And Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy...
