{TB EXCLUSIVE} LPPC SEMI-FINALIST TONY LIPPERA HAS SIGNED WITH CHEMICAL IMBALANCE!
0Congratulations and good luck to Tony Lippera who has signed with Matt Bass at Chemical Imbalance! He is now the 13th writer to gain representation because of the first annual Launch Pad Pilot Competition.
Tony began his career in television production in New York. Upon relocation to Los Angeles, he worked at Disney, boutique talent agencies, as well as his old college buddy’s casting company. Family obligations forced a career detour outside the industry, but upon their completion he threw himself into pursuit of his true passion, writing.
His Launch Pad Script “Another/World” is set in the cutthroat world of 1970′s daytime TV, and follows an aging superstar who must battle against a network’s attempt to oust her from a popular television show she starred in for twenty years. Tony once drove the diva of a cancelled soap to tears on the last day of a job she had held for 35 years (on which he was an intern), and she’s the inspiration for the lead in “Another/World.”
With the insertion of his real life experiences, Tony has created an interesting and compelling world set in the backstage wheeling and dealings of a fascinating time in television. A must read.
