You who? Curiousity hasn't killed me yet. I was born in the year of the Tiger. You've got representation. How has your year been so far?

                      Tony-

I like your list, except "Runaway Bride" wasn't romantic nor comedy.

but on a serious note, try looking at Robert McKee's book "Story". He has a lot about genres in it.

                        :lol

Hey, the list wasn't my "favorites" or anything...

It was more of a "free-association" type deal. You could learn a lot about my "state of mind" yesterday by studying the list (should you be so inclined :rollin )

Boiled Down ( well What I know)

Action: Shoot lots 'o' bullets, blow @#%$ up, wreck cars. Get bigger gun, better car, bigger stick o TNT- do it again.

Martial Arts: Kick the snot outta everything. Do it a second time.

Horror - Scare the heebyjeebez outta someone ) make sure you have a heeby jeeby clean up kit)

                          Slasher - Kill everyone.

Romantic Comedy - make MELT feel nauesous...

Certain rules apply to all genres, across the board: like boobies and explosions. Thus the distinction is blurred. But comedies should generally be funny, noir films dark, dramatic films dramatic, horror films full of references to toilet tissue, and romantic comedies rife with pierced body parts.

But hey, this is all one transexual chemical engineer's opinion.
