Here's a quick (yeah right) formatting question...

How do I insert a scene between two scenes, where the inserted scene actually takes place later? LOL - did ya get that?

Let's take a reality show like Survivor for example (I know, not scripted, well, maybe!) Say, you watch a competition. After the competition is the Tribal Council thing. But, in between these two scenes they have a contestant speaking candidly to the camera.

    In primitive wording...

    EXT. ISLAND - DAY
    blah blah blah competition

    EXT. ISLAND - LATER
blah blah blah candid contestant confession

    EXT. ISLAND - NIGHT
    yada yada yada Tribal Council

How do you word the middle one so that the reader (and viewer) know that it had actually taken place after the TC scene?

    TIA!

You might describe the third scene as a FLASHBACK.
Or, before the third scene, type

    SUPERIMPOSE: Last Night

    EXT. ISLAND - NIGHT
    yada yada yada Tribal Council

      I am confused...

I don't know what you're trying to do.

Could you do me a favor and give me times of day in this...

      EXT. ISLAND - DAY
      blah blah blah competition

      EXT. ISLAND - LATER
blah blah blah candid contestant confession

      EXT. ISLAND - NIGHT
      yada yada yada Tribal Council

Instead of the yadas, so that I know what you want to do? Thanks!

      - Bill

        Re: I am confused...

        Lol

I think I'm going to just re-write the dang thing so that I'm not mixing the time all around. I'm starting to confuse myself!

Thanks for anyone who tried to help, but after re-thinking it I'm going to revise things a bit.
