I'd like some input from those that have been readers...
Been revising one of my scripts (a vehicular splatter film) and about halfway through all the violence, I've got a brief sexual encounter that's described in a fairly coarse way. Now, I know we're all adults, but some adults don't like surprises like that. We Americans seem to have a more iffy reaction to sexual content than outright mayhem.
Now if the tone of the script suggests from the start something like that might pop up, it's to be expected. But if it's a seeming non sequitur* in a horror script, does it feel assaultive?
Is it advisable to include a sexual content warning?
*FWIW, it's part of a motif that pays off in the end.
