I'll read the pages and tell you what I think, but as of now I don't see how this has to be a faith-based idea. On the negative side, I don't see how the reveal can be all that surprising....after all, a couple of posters pretty much guessed it here with very little to go on. Without reading the execution, it seems like it should be more of a side story to something bigger going on.
I find the concept to be intriguing. After checking out the first 9 in script pages thread though, I wonder if you might not consider having Mary as the protagonist altogether instead of her physician, Dr. Marcus.
As one poster mentioned, there are enormous possibilities with Mary and the perplexing nature of her situation. I would however definitely can keep the doctor in though as a sub/plot - sidestory. Just an idea. Hope you're not offended after all the work you've put in.
Good luck!

Thanks MJ. Yes, the idea has been on the back burner for some time now. It came to be because of a friend who was in the same position as the doctor in my story who is in his 4th year of residency and decided to stay in the small town where he was serving and bewildered somewhat that things weren't moving fast enough for him. He decided, against all odds, to stay in the small town and currently has a practice treating the poor and less fortunate.
His story has always inspired me and drove the idea behind this script.
I'll fiddle with it more perhaps but I am proud to have finally finished it irregardless of how people feel about it.
Thank you very much for reading what I posted. The rest of story is quite nice and I have high hopes for its future.
