Okay, I have to admit that at first I was really excited about the prospect of someone actually trying, as Matt Damon would say, science the sh*t out of story structure. I mean, with terminology like "complex data-mining" who could resist?
But boy, was I disappointed.
When I actually read the article I realized the sad state of affairs of their 'study'. Sure, they got six of something... but the reductionism displayed in their thinking clearly indicates to me they're just as clueless as any of the so called "experts" selling books and online classes.
They say things can only go up or down for a character, or any combination thereof... yes, we call that gravity. Thank you for discovering it.
