    Re: Naming Lawyers

Half a century ago I recall watching a Three Stooges episode with my father where a law firm's name on the glass door was something such as, "Feinstein, Goldberg and O'Malley". My father laughed but I did not understand. In the current day someone most likely would find offense.

My impression was that it was "Cheatham," a person of some British lineage or other.

As for attorney names, how about:
    '
    Funny ones ...

    "Priori & Torte"

"Sam Bucca & Bella Nisi" (and Nisi drives a Prius)

"Suo Motu & Qui Tam" (for a Japanese/Vietnamese legal team)

    Not so funny ones ...

"Petollinen & Ovela" (Finnish for "treacherous" and "crafty" if they're antagonists in some way)

"Posten & Odan" (Bosnian for "honest" and "true" if you believe you can make that believable )

Apologies that the last two example names each begin with a "P" and an "O" but that's just how it happened to shake out.

    20 pages? Give them names!

My favorite law firm is Cage & Fish (cajun fish), and my favorite doctor is Lisa Catera (Lease a Caddilac Catera) - both from David E. Kelly.

    started a topic Naming Lawyers

    Naming Lawyers

Should I name both lawyers in the script or just have them be Dave's lawyer and Janet's lawyer? There in many scenes back to back buy it takes up less than twenty pages of my script(first draft anyway)

One lawyer has more scenes than the other but the lawyer with the smaller part I'm thinking of naming because I may write that he has a reputation for taking certain kind of cases.
