I sent an email tonight to Kent Tessman about the Fountain import issue in the Windows version of Fade In. I told him that it was probably only a Windows-version issue.

I heard back from Kent Tessman about the two issues: (1) Failure of the Windows version of Fade In to import the .highland file directly (right now it is first necessary to unzip a 'wrapper' or 'bundle' file that contains the Fountain text file). (2) The need to put a blank line between the Scene Heading and a Fountain synopsis '=' code.

He is working on these things.

Five entries, so far. No one's winning by default, so bring it!

Okay, what do I have to do to get my muse to stop whispering in my ear that, "I'm not good enough to write the story I want to write"?

Just a helpful reminder... you don't have to write an entire screenplay for this contest, just the opening three pages. Easy, peasy. Just make sure you establish the plot, genre, tone, and central characters.

IMHO, the Toy Story screenplay is a master course for doing the above.

Plot, genre, tone, and character in 3 pages? What am I David Copperfield?

Is second prize a set of steak knives?
