I hope it's a go. I've already started on my entry and from the looks of bio's image it's another flatulent filled "Star Wars" parody.

I thought that deadline was today, but then I actually read it and realized I still have a month to even think about this.

Think it's a great photo! I have like five ideas right now.

I've been grinding my gears for a week but all my ideas so far are about the idea of the photo (i.e. the photo as an object within the story) and not about the things happening in the photo...Though I have done a fair amount of research into Lawnchair Larry and the Balloon Boy...ha.

            Here's hoping something pops soonish.

It came from outer space! (or at least high altitude)
              I heard the starting gun

I'm thinking now that I was completely wrong about a "Star Wars" parody involving farting but instead it's a "Star Wars" episode involving farting.

And again though, I'm thinking the image is of a family of democratic socialists photo bombing a commercial hard selling a SUV made by a corrupt capitalistic corporation financially supported by a militaristic fascist government. Oh. Wait It is "Star Wars" with lots of farts. Cool.

Hey, I'm sorry, everyone for dropping out for a while. Life got in the way big time - some good, some not so good. Thankfully, everything is now good.

I'm pleasantly surprised that some of the regulars took to the photo prompt theme - I had big time poster's remorse after I hit the "Post Reply" button. I was convinced there'd be an effort to ban me from DDP because of it. Ok, so we're on!

When I first saw that photo, all I could think about was how in the hell did that kid run barefoot from the car, and over all that sharp roadside debris without shredding his feet!

Holy crap! I just noticed the other "people" strewn on the ground behind the dad holding the kid! Explains the other car?

Now that I look at the image again, I'm thinking a small town in the Midwest was shrunk way, way down in size in some sort of twisted government experiment and the now super miniature inhabitants just noticed a herd/litter of regular sized puppies headed their way and the puppies are vomiting uncontrollably.

I honestly had the same idea — miniature people — except I was thinking sparrows were dive bombing them to crap on them. Either that or gigantic birds swooping down to crap on normal sized people. That's pretty much as far as I can get with this picture. Honestly I wish I could get the image out of my head.
STANDARD DISCLAIMER: I'm a wannabe, take whatever I write with a huge grain of salt.

                            Can't it be a comedy?

Comedy?! You think getting drowned in a huge bird poop bomb would be funny?

It's not really a story idea, it's just what I "see" when I look at the picture. That image kind of shunts any story ideas I might come with — at least so far.
