    Congrats, Derek, and thanks.

This might be my next year's short.

Hi all, I ended up pursuing "Hail to Thee, Ralph King" (my second entry from this contest) as an animated project. Finished and uploaded today.

Most of this is straight as it’s written with minor edits (generated from comments on this thread). I ended up scrubbing a bit of dialog from the end from the Mr. Montero character. It was a bit James Bond villianesque. Also wish I had expanded on the Rose character with another scene or two between her and the protagonist to better sell his plight. Hindsight.

That was pretty watchable, well done, it looked like a lot of work, when did you start it, how long did it take? Is there anywhere you can submit this, fun contest wise? Win a trip to Hollywood, sponsorship for your next movie? etc.

Hey Derrick, thanks a lot for watching and commenting. It’s probably about 80 hours of work over five months (hobby hours). There’s a few options to promote such as small film festivals that have a short animation category or getting picked by a curated collection but generally I just release it, promote it for a week as best I can and then move in to the next project.

I watched and enjoyed the first episode when it came out but haven't seen the rest (no apple tv). You post freaked me out a bit and I had to hurry over to the Wikipedia episode synopsis to see just how similar the ideas are. Seems a similar vibe but not too much on the content (I hope) beyond workplace weirdness. Thanks a lot for taking the time to watch and comment!
