Victorian-era space adventure? I'm in line already and the script hasn't even been written ...

    HR April 19, 2006

Warner Bros. Pictures has pre-emptively snapped up the rights to "Larklight," an upcoming children's book by Philip Reeve, for Denise Di Novi to produce. The book, which will be published in November by Bloomsbury, is the first of a Victorian-era space-adventure trilogy in which a brother and sister team with a band of renegade space pirates to save the world from destruction at the hands of a madman. Sources say the deal is worth high-six against seven figures. A search for a writer to adapt the book is under way.

Sounds some what like the old RPG "Space:1886" ... Fun game.

Anyone know whether this one is worth the read (138 pgs)?

imbd shows it due in 2010.
