  • "The Birds" Finally Take Flight

Naomi Watts has officially signed on the dotted line to topline the new interpretation of "The Birds" with helmer Martin Campbell in talks to take the reigns.

Are they seriously thinking of this? The sequel was a disaster. Naomi Watts...think again!

Hitchcock's The Birds is one of my favourite films by the dude. I watch it at least twice a year. Will this end up in the toilet like Van Sants (who's work I admire) remake of Psycho?

    What's the point?

Tippi Hedren is certainly against it.

Is nothing sacred? Do they honestly think someone is gonna say, "Wow, this new version is The Birds is way better than that old Hitchcock thing"?

Someone over age 21, I mean. Maybe the kids will love it.

So... what are the odds that they'll tie in global warming as the cause for the birds going loopy?

I'd say the odds are pretty good.

Haven't you read the script yet?
