Thanks! Really excited about this one. Qingdao is actually the facility where we're shooting, not who bought it - that was Lionsgate/Infinity/Wanda. These Chinese co-productions are a complete maze. Learning as I go.

Back in 2012, I wrote this outrageously expensive spec, which is typically not a good idea. Went out to the town with DiBonaventura on board, but it didn't sell - people liked it, but it was too pricey and not based on any IP. Years passed, and it sat on the shelf. 8 months ago, Joe Johnston was given my script STAR ONE for his consideration. He passed but liked the writing, so we sent him Starfall. He came on board and we went back to DiBonaventura and asked if they wanted to give it another shot. They approached Infinity, a China based financier. They bought it then had me do a rewrite to incorporate Chinese elements. One of the three main characters became Chinese, for instance, and we show China's space program in a very positive light. Then it got rolling. Now I'm praying it keeps rolling until Feb when we start production over at Qingdao.
