    I just read "The Playwright's Process" by Buzz McLaughlin. Good things about it are:
    a) It's not by Syd Field;
    b) It's not about screenwriting at all;
    c) It has very insightful chapters about structure and character development.

    Has anyone else read this book?

    Any other books you'd like to recommend?

    Now, now, 'Don - you know this belongs in a different forum.

    I really liked "Which Lie Did I Tell" by Bill Goldman. A lot of stories and anecdotes about the biz, but lessons in screenwriting along the way.

      Everyone should read Rebel Without A Crew by Robert Rodriguez. It is his El Mariachi diary. If you feel you need to be inspired to make a movie, this is the book for you. As soon as you finish you'll be reaching for your camera.

      Joseph Averagino.

        Bill;
        Sorry, I just can't seem to make big decisions like that anymore. Somebody give me a Prozac.
