  • Conversations with my Agent, by Rob Long.

Okay, it maybe pushing some 5 yrs old now, but this book is a great read. Funny, informative (still though it's 5 yrs old) and a damn entertaining read. Rob tells it how it is...

I enjoyed this book so much, that after I read it I was left with much the same feeling of readings Will Goldman's 'Which Lie...', which was GUTED. I wanted it to carry on, and the time it took to read this book passed SO QUICKLY.

Check it all out folks, you won't be disapointed.

And another thing! Rob Long was exec producer on the later days of Cheers, and his book is based on him getting another pilot up on the screen.

It's a TV book, not a film one.

It's an agent book and that applies to television and features. It should be required reading for anyone who has, ever had, or ever intends to have an agent.

Amazon has used copies both paperback and hard cover and Barnes & Nobles has 32 used copies listed though you will pay more through B&N's affiliate dealers. Also you can try specifically cinematic stores that may have copies around like book soup, larry edmund's bookshop, samuel french, book city, the writer's store, and cinema books. I know cinema books never remainders books, I am not sure about the others.

          Everyone should have this book.

Wow, I have a rare book. A friend and I were talking the other day, then like a bolt out the blue, he said "Hey, I got this book upstairs you should read. I know you like writing and it's all about agents and TV". He got it, lent it to me, I said, "Do you want this back?". He said no. Which is cool.

Just a shame this book had been sitting up in his bedroom for about 4 years. And we've been friends 7 yrs, and I've been writing 7 years... Go figure.
