  • Me and You and Memento and Fargo: How Independent Screenplays Work

I've been meaning to start a thread on this one for awhile. I read it about a month and a half ago, and easily the best screenwriting book I've read in awhile.

J.J. Murphy provides an excellent analysis of the structures and other components of independent film. It might not help you land a six-figure sale, but a provactive read nonetheless.

I'll check it out. Currently reading How Not to Write a Screenplay by Denny Flinn. That is a decent read. And written with a good sense of humor.

    Wait. I hear something...

THE GHOST OF WALDO SALT: "Nothing beats reading screenplays!"

    I know, I know.
"I ask every producer I meet if they need TV specs they say yeah. They all want a 40 inch display that's 1080p and 120Hz. So, I quit my job at the West Hollywood Best Buy."
