No, I am Spanish. I've spent some time in Ireland and worked for a couple of year in the South of England. Now back in Spain.

    Next stop L.A.?

You may want to check this one out: http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Americ...1897515&sr=8-4

IMO, better than the The Dialogue Series of videos or the Q&A Podcast with Jeff Goldsmith (although both are good too, but more to feed your curiosity rather than learning something.)

yes, and another thing I really much appreciate in reading about professionals' working habits and achievements

is the process of deconstructing the myth and looking at the great professional behind instead..

I don't know if I made myself clear.. great book anyway

That's the one. Although it isn't an analysis from a screenwriting point of view, I actually think it is far more useful for a screenwriter to read this interview because it discusses the different choices from the point of view of the creator, and what his intention was in each case.

I read it 4 years ago, but I intend to read it again soon. And I'm not even a Hitchcock fan, but it is really awesome, as you said.

Here is the index of what I've done so far:

The some of the early entries need a rewrite - I wasn't sure exactly what I was aiming for. Early entries were about 1,500 words because I was going to put all 53 films in one book eventually - now I'm looking at 3 books because the articles have gotten longer.

it seems to be very complete: i am going to print it down and read it.

    thanks

I don't know about any books but I highly recommend Bill Martell's blog series: "Fridays with Hitchcock": http://sex-in-a-sub.blogspot.com/2012/03/fridays-with-hitchcock-young-and.html.

Book: Hitchcock Movies Analysis for Screenwriters

    hello everyone,

I excuse if this is not the right room for my question, but I hope it is.

I was recently watching some special attached contents in the dial m for murder dvd by alfred hitchcock, where several filmmakers (well actually there was just one filmmaker) and movie experts commented about the movie and its construction.

there was particularly one who told something about story structure itself.

well, what i would like to ask is simply: is there any book that I can search where hitchcook movies are taken into analysis from a story building or screewriting point of view?

I actually read one few years ago: it was about directing but it provided an indepth inight of notorious from a staging point of view

    film directing fundamentals (proferes?)

now: do you happen to know one which can be good from a story point of view?

    thanks for now
Working...
