Has anybody made it into the semis? I received a letter last week with a list of 70 names and scripts that have progressed. Came out of nowhere because i had forgot all about the contest, which was supposed to have wrapped up in February.

Anybody else make it to this point and scratching their head about what happens now?

My reference was to when the semi-finalists will hear, being that Feb has come and gone. Did you place, or are you just feeling frisky, Kullervo?

I'm in the semis with a couple of scripts, which was a nice surprise. According to the letter, they plan to whittle it down to finalist level by end of April.

Last year they announced the winners around the third week of April. I got my check in late September. I never received the pen, and I never received the story notes. And I got no requests for the script.

LKast year I did well in this one as well. Also, never received ANY of the stuff they promised. After numerous emails, etc. I didnt really care anymore. And, alos zero requests for a script which has now sold :-) Way to go FADE IN. haha.

Producer/manager/agent requests from competitions

Hey, kullervo, I know you've won a bunch of contests. Which ones resulted in requests for your scripts? Just wondering.

The only contest I've been in that garnered me any requests was the Screenwriting Expo. I only got a few requests, but they were good ones.

Fade In results

Isn't very comforting when they tell you that all finalists will be notified before April 31st...but there's only 30 days in April!
