If there is anyone here, interested in the Project Greenlight Contest and community boards, I'm reposting this here for your information.
I had recently written to Fred Gonnello of Live Planet about the Project Greenlight Boards going up before the contest, so that the contestants could coagulate there during announcement time and here was his response (posted with his full permission)
I'm letting you guys know because the first thing that someone said to me when I joined Done Deal Chat was "Oh God, not another useless PGL'er, when will your boards go back up again?"

Hey Maria,
Unfortunately it's not as easy as turning them back on. We upgraded to a new
version of our application server and the boards, buggy with the last
version, simply don't work with the new version. In order to restore them
we'd need to get the new version of that software and re-implement our
customizations, like marrying it to our login ad authentication system and
other items. Not a huge undertaking, but not nominal either. There is not
enough time to accomplish this prior to the July 13th announcement and after
that there is not a lot going on until the show airs. Bravo will have boards
before and during the show.
In terms of tour visitors "being good", I think we can both safely say that
that probably is not possible, but it is beside the point. It looks like the
boards will stay away for this iteration and be back next time around.
We appreciate your interest and support of the project and hopefully we'll
be around for another run with our community elements intact.
