    NYU MEDIA STUDIES CLUB Presents

    Beyond the Hype:

A Workshop for Writers of the Screen & Stage

    Facilitated by Dramaturgist Mick Casale

You are cordially invited to join the NYU Media Studies Club for a 2 hour screenwriting workshop on Saturday, April 21, from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M., facilitated by internationally renowned Dramaturg Mick Casale. An award winning writer of works for the stage, screen and comic strips, Casale serves as Assistant Arts Professor in the Graduate Film Program at NYU's Kanbar Institute of Film & Television. We hope that you will join us for this truly memorable journey.

Admission is free and on a first come, first served basis. RSVPs must be received no later than Thursday, 4/19, no exceptions.

Date: Saturday, 4/21, 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Location: NYU, Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Sq. South, Room 914 RSVP: Kia M. Neal, [email protected]
    Gene Hughes, [email protected]
    Greg Butler, [email protected]

Refreshments will be provided. A film screening will follow from 1:00-4:00, so please let us know if you have a short work you wish to be screened.

I took a class with Mick a while back. He's a really nice, knowledgeable guy, but this part made me laugh....

"With an approach that falls well outside of the proverbial box, Casale engages writers..."

'cause his class was by the book, index cards and everything.
