    Just got the Cinestory email! Our very own DD'er, wenonah, placed in the Contest!

    Good job, girl!

    CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2009 CSA WINNERS!
    After another lively debate at the judges' dinner, the prize winners for our 2009 competition were selected:

    GRAND PRIZE: Louis Rosenberg of
    Pismo Beach, CA, took the top honor with his screenplay UPGRADE.

    As well as a cash award and other prizes, Louis will benefit from the CineStory Fellowship, a 12-month mentorship program with two industry professionals handpicked to advance his craft and career. CineStory's Grand Prize is valued at over $7000. Bravo Louis!

    FIRST PRIZE: James Walker from London for SHROUDED IN DARKNESS. James wins over $700 in prizes.

    SECOND PRIZE: Wenonah Wilms from Minneapolis, MN, for BEADED ROAD. Wenonah enjoys over $500 in prizes.

                    Well done, Wenoah.

                    You might remember we were discussing the ropey organization and judging of Expo last year.

                    Good to see you're now up there where you belong and where your writing merits you to be.

                    And no sweats missing out to UPGRADE. I'm seeing that damn thing cropping up everywhere The guy's a professor of Technology AND a graduate of UCLA. Talk about writing what you know!

                    Anyhoo Nicely done! Any heads up on Logline/genre?

                      Congrats, Wenonah! You'll have a wonderful experience -- the setting is just the icing on the cake. All of the mentors are very approachable and plugged in to the industry. Great networking opportunities and insights to craft abound.
