Minority contests. Worth it?

A friend just sent me info for a script contest run by CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment). http://secure.capeusa.org/cnwa/

He figured I should use my Asian heritage to whatever advantage I can get.

The question is, has anyone tried these contests for underrepresented minorities? Do they actually offer any significant exposure?

I entered CAPE once. They're really nice folks who really take a strong interest in your career. For a minority contest, it's one of the better ones.
