Have you asked them about it?

                  Re: Industry Insider Contest

i did. this is the response i got.

Our deadline is August 31st for the contest and it will not change. However, we do have some submissions that were not properly paid for due to technical errors/submission confusion. We are working with these submissions to complete payments properly, hence why our payment button is still active. We are not, however, extending the deadline or taking additional submissions at this time. As with all contests, there are some errors in the last days of submitting that occur and we're trying to make sure everyone who submitted has a chance to participate in the contest. Best of luck on your entry!

Please feel free to email or call me at the store if you have further questions.

                  Best Regards,

but she didn't respond to my questions about a possible extension of the "announcement" dates. i'm hoping they've been reading all the submissions as they came in and only have to get through the last month extensions. this way, no need to extend them.

i almost forget... do people still want to have their scripts posted anonymously in the "writing exercises" section and have an informal throwdown? i think joe is still around to do it for us.

Three pages or the whole rotten lot?

A throwdown would be fun, I think.

i think it's max 10 pages on this board but for this we might need all the pages which would require 2 posts per which might be too much.

Looks like the finalist scripts first 15 pages from their first contest are available for download. I downloaded the winner (they're all free), but haven't checked it out yet.

ETA: Just read the winner, Secret Asian Man. I must admit, it's pretty damn good. I haven't read the other ones, but I may do so just to see what the winner's competition was.

Enter button STILL active and STILL accepts payments.

Let's get this over with already.

They've dragged it out long enough.

It didn't blow my hair back like I expected it would (grand prize winner).

Stopped reading after five or six pages...no serious conflict = boring.

                                But what do I know?

Never won a faaking contest--prolly never will.
