  • Austin panel schedule is up!

From those that have gone before, if I have to miss a good speaker for a pitch session, should I?

Also, what about the Roundtables? Are those better to attend than the speakers because you get a closer discussion?

    Thanks!

I feel I can just skip the roundtables and be really social during the event and get the same experience, no? It's really down to a roundtable or a pitch...

      Here's my opinion:

      No!

Don't skip the roundtables. But be prepared.....they are what you make of them. In other words, have some worthy questions prepared that you are really having trouble finding an answer for. Do some research on your session and make sure your questions are both in the wheelhouse and appropriate for your panelist.

As far as getting the same experience by being really social? I'd say no. This Roundtable time is dedicated for questions and answers. It's your guaranteed time to pick brains. It's a learning opportunity. I think the panelists prefer their social time to be....a little more social.

Some tough choices will have to be made...several panels I want to attend are happening simultaneously!

For me, too. I'm putting the schedule away for a couple of weeks and going into denial. Then I'll pull the band-aid off very quickly.

I'm thinking about going to this but it looks like some of the workshops are already sold out. How do you sign up in advance for the workshops?

Sounds like you guys are saying Austin is worth it. Will everyone be meeting up for a drink one night?

Only three events (they just announced a fourth for next week) have had 'pre sign up' while the rest are just attend without registration style.
