Innovations in digital technology continue to revolutionize every aspect of moviemaking. "Turning the Page- explores how emerging technologies can shape narrative capabilities and influence the crafts of screenwriting, cinematography and editing.
The panel of noted filmmakers, led by writer John August, will focus on movies that feature very different genres, settings and time periods, including "Argo,- "Zero Dark Thirty- and the soon-to-be-released "Star Trek Into Darkness.- Using examples from the films they've worked on, the group will discuss how advances in technology and refinements in production methods have a powerful impact on the entire process of storytelling, from the development of a script through the finishing touches of post-production.
