  • Man told going limp

Your insight, trivia, and direction are all sought on the following questions as I explore a new idea (mature comedy/drama)

The concept of a women's biological clock seems to be widely accepted.
Does a MAN have a biological clock that spurs him to have children
before it's too late? In what ways might it manifest itself?

Is there a medical condition that causes impotence where viagra and similar drugs just don't work or can't be taken? (death not included)

I need a man to be told that barring the use of some wierd prosthesis, he is going to go completely limp very soon. This is a middle-aged man.

    Possible?

He could be a prisoner facing chemical castration.

-Medication that has sexual side effects
      -Psychological Problems
      -Medical Problems

Do you mean something that a doctor would say to him? Like, "You will lose sexual drive and/or the ability to achieve erection from this medication." ?? Like that?
Or, "It's quite natural for a man to lose the ability to achieve erection after the loss of a spouse".

Interesting idea about spousal loss initiating it. I like that idea and might use it.

Yeah, I need a doctor to come out and say something specific. You have this and this is what will happen. This won't help or you can't take that. These are your options.

I'm trying to wrap my mind around chemical castration. What chemicals exactly are they soaked in?

Certain prostate problems can lead to ED (No, not english dave).

Perhaps the man in question has an inoperable prostate condition.

              Oh, like THAT ever happens.

Type II diabetes can cause erectile disfuction.
Some blood pressure medication can also.

Zoloft can cause limpage but it’s not permanent.

Groan... I hope this line doesn't appear in the script.

blondewritr's reply reminds me of the old med school joke, the professor asks a member of his class, a well-stacked blonde babe, to draw a penis on the blackboard. She happily takes the chalk and draws a huge erection pointing skyward. The professor smiles and says, "If you don't mind, miss, could you draw it the other way?" The blonde is stumped. "Other way?"
