  • Hearing implement for the deaf of yesteryear

    I'm looking for what this device is called. I've seen them in pictures and movies (and I think Beethoven had one?) but I'm not sure the name.

    It looks a lot like a megaphone and is conical, with one end fitting inside the ear and the other spread out like a trumpet. If you know what it's called, I'd appreciate it.

        I guess you guys are right. I was really hoping to call it somethig cooler. Oh well, invented in a time before marketing I suppose.
