Obviously, it must be a goofy mood I'm in, but I sorta like the thread title as a movie title.

I rode the Durango & Silverton train last year. The coal-powered locomotive was from 1923, but I think the cars are older. Anyway, there were door at the end of the cars and they opened to a narrow metal walkway that went between the cars. They had rails and chains on each side, and I could have easily slipped onto the other side of them and jumped.

It was a little frightening walking across, even with the train going only 20mph.

The train has been in these films:
Colorado Territory (1949), Ticket to Tomahawk (1950), Denver & Rio Grande (1952), Viva Zapata (1952), Three Young Texans (1954), Run for Cover (1955), Maverick Queen (1956), Around the World in 80 Days (1956), Night Passage (1957), How the West Was Won (1963), Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), Support Your Local Gunfighter (1970), Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (1984), The Tracker (1987), Rebirth of a Locomotive (1992), Tracks Through Time (1999), Durango Kids (1999), Golden Dreams (2000), and The Claim (2000)

Thanks Gnasche. Very helpful. See, now that you mentioned the chains detail, I'm thinking of using it. Minutia can be good.

Oh, and Donreel, you may excused from the table now.
