  • FBI "head" in a particular state

    Just stumbled about that:

    I have the chairman of the Phoenix Division of the FBI showing up. What's his position's correct designation and abbreviation?

    I found "Special Agent in Charge" on the FBI's website. It's SAiC ???

    (Sorry, it might be a dumb question - but I'm no American. Thanks for help.)

    Special Agent in Charge is correct, and there is a brand new Phoenix field office for the FBI where he would work out of.

      Inside the FBI the head of the division would be referred to as SAC no i in there. (pronounced Ess Ay Cee)

      his assistant would be ASAC (pronounced AySack)
